Lexar Echo ZE 8GB/16GB/32GB: The Tiniest USB Flash Drive

In the article of Darien Graham Smith in the PC Pro UK Magazine, September 2010 Issue, that Echo ZE is the tiniest USB flash drive he had ever seen. Yes, it’s indeed very tiny but according to him this device was designed not for portability purposes where you can carry anywhere you wanted, instead, it’s intended to permanently plug into your computer as an unobtrusive backup drive.

The Lexar’s simple backup client is included in the package, but accordingly you can always use whatever software you like. And for those people, individuals, professionals, and businesses, with vast of data to protect Echo ZE is an excellent and affordable choice, a little bit faster compared to online services competitors.

With its large file testing that averaged 14 MB per second for reading and 6 MB per second when writing; it’s still slow for flash drive standards and therefore it’s not advisable to use as a general purpose-drive. “But it’s still an appealing backup device,” said Smith.

  1. Impressive. I wonder if it could be easily swallowed. Well that's an odd thought. XD

Anyways, thank you for sharing this.
