How To Fix Stock Video Card Fan

When your PC keeps on restarting or shutting down randomly, for sure one or some of its components were overheating. One of it is the video card or GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)  in which causing to overheat because of stock or dead fan, and its effects were so annoying. But don't worry because I had learned a very simple, little secret, method of fixing it, and I will be sharing it to everybody free of charge.

[Solved] Computer Keeps On Restarting Itself

Problem

I had this computer that every time I play games like GTA San Andrea it suddenly boots up itself without any popping error messages. I thought it was just an isolated problem but for the second time around as I hit the game again it restarts. I was wondering if it's a virus so I scanned it thoroughly but nothing found malicious, then I tried reinstalling the game but still nothing really happened. 

So what was really the problem with this computer? I only found out that the main reason why the computer keeps restarting because it simply lacks power and cooling after knowing that the fan of the power supply doesn't work.

Power supply Unit or PSU is the main source of power for motherboard and most of the computer peripherals that require it. And if this is not working well it would be a big problem then for the entire computer system like the case of mine where it keeps booting up voluntarily or worse like totally wreck due to damage parts and circuits.

Solution

For an hour of searching and asking for the best solution to my problem, they mostly suggest that I should replace it with a brand new and compatible one. But according to some techy people I should take more test first to the computer like the registry to identify whether there are other problems that causing it to be like that because there were some instances in which the problem is due to registry  problem and not with the power supply although the fan of it isn't working. In my case, I replaced it with a new one and when the replacement was done I quickly check the computer if it's really working and it works, the computer never restarts anymore.

Safety first. I recommend not opening the PSU as what the manufacturer written in every sticker that pasted in each unit if you're not so sure of what you're doing most specially if you're not technically skilled and knowledgeable about this things because this may result to serious damage to the computer like burning the motherboard parts cause by over power and such like. How To Bypass BIOS and Windows Log-In Password

Password in every computer's BIOS and Windows login that created by users is meant to protect the settings and important stuff from possible changes that an unauthorized individual will apply, not unless allowed by the owner due to some considerable circumstances. But how about if the password is forgotten and no matter how hard you tried remembering it still  you can't. Thus prohibiting anybody even the owner from accessing almost everything inside of it. What you will gonna do?

This was the problem that I've been dealing with a couple of days ago. The computer is a Compaq Desktop with  Windows Professional Operating System version 2002 installed on it. The owner, Avila, brought it to me because she cannot access anymore her files and all because it's totally locked up. But I was certain that the computer problem is 99% recoverable. So how I was able to break the code?

Simple! Every computer manufactured is equipped with a back-door password and tweaks to set back the product into its original configuration every time a problem is occurred.  Let's consider Compaq, if you search it on Google on how to bypass its BIOS every site has the same answer, the default password is "compaq." But in my case the password didn't work. However, I was not worried because there are three more ways to bypass it. And I did apply the removing of CMOS battery from the motherboard for about fifteen minutes or more so that the password will be erase and will roll back through the time when the computer was manufactured. The process was successful and effective, BIOS is never asking anymore for  password. Remember that in applying this method you must switch off and unplug the power.

The next problem now is how to bypass Windows login. It's easy! Even the strongest password can be penetrated in just 1-2-3. I know it's impossible and hard to imagine but yes it can. 

There are two ways to bypass Windows Login whether you will apply the Password Reset using a CD or DVD or Flash Drive, or by setting the computer into safe mode both were effective. Since I don't have the former therefore I applied the latter. As the computer starting up we can then press F8 to proceed to a certain menu. Here, we have to select Safe Mode using the arrow key in the keyboard then hit Enter and just wait for the moment it will finish loading. You will know that it's in a state of safe mode already if the icons were big, a text saying safe mode appeared in the upper and lower part of the screen.

Now, did you ever wonder how it was possible to login into the computer through safe mode state without filling up the Windows Login? Well, that's the magic of computer. It's simple, isn't it? But we are not done yet because this time we have to reset or simply delete the password of the first Administrator usually it has name in the Control Panel particularly in User Accounts then restart the computer, and everything is good to go. No more login password, no more hassle. However, we can't deny the important of passwords in protecting our most valuable documents, software and games installed in the computer especially if it's original and you don't have a copy of it to install it back whenever it's is reformatted. 

[Solved] Memory Problem (Long-Short-Long Beeping)

Yesterday, I was fixing an assembled Pentium IV desktop computer owned by an old woman that is not booting up every time you power it on it just produces long-short-long beeping sound. I am not sure yet about the real problem of the computer so I power it on again and again but still produces the same. Based on experience when a computer beeps like that it might not have a memory installed on it or, if have, maybe not attached to the peripheral properly.

When I open the system unit I saw a 1GB DDR Memory correctly installed on the motherboard. So what is really the problem? However, when I removed the memory and cleaned it using eraser suddenly I noticed a gap in between pins in the lower portion, second to the last to be exact. I suspect that was the problem then because as far as I know all types of memory either DDR, DDR2 or DDR3 has no gap at all like what I have found, and it proves me right that maybe it's not properly connected because obviously one of the metal pins was missing.

Therefore, I replaced it with a 128MB DDR memory, provided by the owner, quite slower that the previous one to try and test, and fortunately it works well. The computer started up successfully and the Windows boots up smoothly. Another job well done!

[Solved] Examining 76317 Mb Disk 0 At Id 0 On Bus 0 On Atapi

I've got a serious problem today as one of the PC in my workplace is not functioning well anymore and every time I boot it a blue screen appears saying that there was a certain hardware problem. I checked everything and found out that all were properly connected. So what is really the problem? I have no other choice  but to apply the best way to fix it as soon as possible, I need to reformat it. But as the process goes on I did experience this kind of error "Examining 76317 Mb Disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on Atapi." What is this? This is my first time to encounter such problem that is why I directly open the internet and google for it, and I certainly get some possible solutions.

I did apply all but only one works and that is to replace the HDD connector then plug it to any available socket in the motherboard. Maybe there was just a little problem in communicating the data in which causing the computer not to boot up properly because the connector was probably outworn already. In my case the connector is a Serial ATA or SATA, so I did replace it with a new one and connect it to the next socket as advised. The good news is that it works, the operating system was successfully installed and finally boots normally as the usual.

Although this computer tips is tried and tested it is not an assurance that it will work well for you too and that the Hard Drive has no problem or error at all. Reasons Why Computer Is Slowing Down
